Residential Landscape Management
Proper Storm Water Management and Erosion Control methods are important when planning your landscape. If not accounted for properly, rain water and melting snow can cause soil erosion, pooling, and flooding to your landscape. At Werstil Companies, we use a combination of the Best Management Practices (BMP)’s, a culmination of the latest research and our own in-house experiences of the best methods to ensure you receive the intended results on your property.
The American Society of Home Inspectors estimates 60 percent of U.S. homes have wet basements. If you have a wet basement, you should call us promptly to fix the issue in your home. A damp basement, if left untreated, can ruin hardwood flooring, cause mold and leads to extremely damaging foundation issues. We are very experienced in drying out basements and have many clients who call us to help them with this issue.
Primary erosion control methods usually involve creating a physical barrier made of vegetation or a rock installation. Common erosion control plants include wildflower mixes, grass seed mixes, and native flora and fauna.
Other common erosion control methods include using an erosion control blanket. These are very effective nets, made from a chosen material and are 100% biodegradeable. They are great ways to temporarily protect your soil from low to medium amount of erosion. They are also very commonly used for keeping away predators from freshly planted seeds. Using our experience with the above products will create a successful project in your backyard
We can work with you to discuss your options in more detail if you are having issues with water control on your property.
